I was feeling un-word-able last night, so here are the five positive things from yesterday:
1. I did not get an H1N1 shot. This was a conscious decision based on the following facts: I hate getting shots; I have never had a flu shot in my life, and have also never had the flu in my life; W got the shot already and it made him really sick; Jooj stays home all day and doesn't go to school; we wash our hands all the time; they are remodeling the parking lot at the hospital and it takes, on average 45 minutes to get a parking spot--freals. So I weighed all of these factors in, and blew off the flu shot. I feel very positive about it.
2. I ran errands yesterday, including depositing checks I have been carrying around for over a month. Not because I'm so rich I don't need the money, but because going to the bank has been out of my league. (Also because I kissed a boy behind the trampoline.)
3. I made dinner--one of my favorites--tuna quesadillas. They make this Starkist flavored tuna in the zippy pouches. Get the hickory smoked flavor, spread cream cheese and chives on a tortilla, top with tuna and cheese, grill up. We love them. And the chives count as a vegetable. Of sorts. That neither Jooj nor I eat, but still. POSITIVE. AND I made yogurt. Which I had for breakfast this morning.
4. Speaking of dinners, I have been sticking to my eating from the pantry/freezer goal almost perfectly (there have been some immense cravings, but I have only really bought a few things I hadn't planned on. Mostly Rocky Road.) I have spent almost nothing on groceries this month. Awesome. Super positive.
5. I had some deep thoughts. This is huge. I haven't thought deeply about anything in a long time. I don't really remember what they were, and I don't think I made any decisions about them, but they existed. Glory be.

1. Me too. Wish I could say it as uncontroversially as you did. Skills.
3. Thanks for putting cream cheese and tortillas in my brain. Will not rest until they've been had.
Oh Fig--here is the other cream cheese concoction: Make a grilled cheese sandwich, but spread the inside with cream cheese, then the regular cheese. Then spread the outside with butter to grill, and a sprinkling of parmesan and salt.
I would eat this right now, except I know that it is really hard when it comes out the second time, minutes later.
SATAN LOVES GRILLED CHEESE
and coincidentally so do I. weird.
Thanks to your inspiration, I've actually cooked this month. From our ward cookbook which is a directory of takeout numbers and their accompanying menus.
Mrs O, that is the greatest idea for a ward cookbook ever.
KK, how does he feel about lettuce wraps?
I ate my weight in rocky road while pregnant with #1. I should have bought some Dreyers stock.
You MADE yogurt? I'm super impressed. And actually have no idea how that would be done. Prolly gonna google it.
