It's a Start...

I recently limited the amount of TV Jooj watches. (This was just as much for me, as for her, as I have a tendency at about noon to turn on the TV and collapse in exhaustion while she watches something and something and something and something and something and then I wake up.)

Now she gets four shows a day, and is not ever allowed to watch anything "Tween." (We started letting her watch HanMantanna and ICaryee and Wizards, and found that there was a distinct correlation to sassiness and yelling on TV and in her mouth.)

So what is she doing at this very minute, you ask?

Watching TV outside.

She stands up, yells "And Now... It's Time... for FreshBeats! Go get em!" and then sits down.

Then she stands up, yells "OK, Disney Channels, you sit down now and It's Time... for Backyardigans!"

Then she stands up and yells "OK, Now... It's Time... for Good Guys and Bad Guys (Estar Guars) to Fight with HanMantanna!"

Way to use your imagination, Jooj.

We once worked with a lady at the BYU who was having sass problems with her girls. She decided it was the Disney Channel influence, so she cut it and the attitudes greatly improved. She called the Disney Channel "MTV on training wheels."
