Typical

We made a heart-shaped brownie for Family Night. I told Jooj that a heart means "love." I asked "Who do you love?"

She replied "Jesus."

I said "Me too! Who else?"

"Heavenly Father."

"Me too! Who else?"

"Papi."

"Me too! Who else?"

"Wocky Boy."

"Me too! Anyone else?"

"Case." (Her friend from church.)

"Anyone else?"

"Austin."

"Anyone else?"

"I SAID Case."

"But is there anyone else?"

"Um...Refrigerator."

"A person? A PERSON YOU LOVE?"

"Chicken."

I give up. It is times like this that I would be pissed if I had endured hours of labor to push her out.

HA HA ha ha ha ha ...

There's the silver lining we were looking for!

For the record, I'd put the refrigerator on my most-loved list too.

I agree I love this list. Fridge is one of my favorites still.

You're the *obvious* choice. She's trying to learn to think outside the box. ;)

My friend stayed up all night with her, then, 3-year-old daughter who was very sick. She rocked her, walked the floor with her, gave her medicine, etc. In a very tender moment, she cupped her daughters face and said, "Who loves you?" Her daughter's answer? "Daddy!"

Ouch.

I love chicken too.

I'm guessing that smackin' her upside the head with the brownie pan would a) count as bad mothering, and b) not help her feel the love ... but it would've crossed my mind, LOL ;P

But seriously - while I ditto her chicken and fridge choices, she was OBVIOUSLY not thinking clearly .. she omitted BROWNIES! :)
