Waiting for Jesus.

(The contractor, not the Savior. Although, today was "Christian Rock" day at Curves. Where one of the songs proclaimed "Jesus keeps getting better." Can He get better? Isn't perfection kind of the end of the road?)

Precisely two months ago I gave my landscape contractor some money to do my backyard. I saved and scrimped. He told me it would be done by the weekend.

It was not.

Now, we had some rain from Freaking Ike, so he couldn't work on those days. Understandable. Except that those days were WEEKS after the weekend when it was supposed to be done.

I gave him an ultimatum, and he promised me he would bring me my money (I love sounding like a pimp!) on Monday.

Monday I called him three million times. He never answered.

Tuesday he answered and told me he would be there in the morning.

Tuesday night he told me he would be here THIS morning.

I am so incredibly frustrated. I just want my money back or my yard done. Either is fine.

***UPDATE: He will be here tomorrow.*** Right.
***UPDATE #2: 10 am. Still not here.***

Why are all contractors like this... all of them. I don't get it. Do they not know the value of money/time? Honestly.

Except he won't answer the phone. Which makes a bomb threat more difficult.

You should charge interest....or take him to People's Court--ooh, ooh, will you do that please?

I don't know how it works in Old E.P., but here in the P-town you never ever give the money till the job is done or you won't see either. I'm praying for a miracle tomorrow, but I also think you should go to People's Court. I might get a DVR for that.

Was there ever a second coming? Somehow I'm thinkin' not. Contractors! :(

So far our one-ish week fence project has taken two ... but it really SHOULD be done today (fingers crossed).

BTW, do not go on People's Court - I love it and all (and Judge Judy) - but she will yell at you for "letting ANY money leave one hand without a receipt being put in the other" (or in this case the work being done), or something else mean like that. No amount of money is worth getting yelled at on National TV. And it's not like you deserve it - we're all taught to trust a guy named Jesus! ;)
