Still Jogging!
Nice to See Rwanda stopped killing people long enough to send some athletes.
Everyone from India has a camcorder. Nice tech support, peeps! I am an Ugly American.
President Bush just checked his watch. Just like I would have. Thanks, POTUS, for making me feel Presidential!
They are jogging in high heels! I never noticed the high heels!
"With apologies to Three Dog Night...?" Really, Bob Costas? Really?
"Ghana is the home of Freddy Adu who is on the US soccer squad!" Way to stick it to Ghana, Costas.
I Love that Bermuda always wears the shorts.
Boo to Saudi Arabia for its lack of women, YAY to UAE for women athletes!
Props to Costas for using "Quixotic" correctly!
Seriously, how many countries are there?
Still jogging!
Not even the Fraunch can pull off the beret.
Do I have to call it Cote D'Ivore, or can I just stick with Ivory Coast? I feel goofy.
Way to break my heart, Kirilenko. Although I wouldn't want to play with Kobe, either.
Wow, USA! You are TOTALLY classier than the Canadians! I think someone gave you a stern talking-to, and it worked! I am so proud of you, and the Home Depot. Screw you, Canada!
If Mrs. Bush needs a soda, does she go to concessions, or does an aide do it?
Is the Korean hair cut a mandatory thing for the team? Do they have a special Korea Olympic bowl for tracing?
Hey, Mexico! I just saw you ten minutes ago when I went to get my mail!
Why are the bagpipes constantly playing?
Oh, thank heavens, it is China. Almost over.
China represents 1/5 of humanity? Crazy. Thanks for that, Costas, and sorry I lost faith in you for a while.
I like that China has the women paraders segregated from the men. And that Mariachi music is playing.
NEW OFFICE COMMERCIAL!!! I predict DaStew and W will be playing Slapface ASAP.
I have to imagine that it was very difficult for the Chinese children's choir to learn the song in Greek.
Cheerleaders have finally stopped. Poor cheerleaders with their coordinating water bottles.
Holy crap, nuclear explosion of fireworks.
Is that Chairman Mao holding the torch? Oh, never mind. Xu Haifong. Remember when The Miracle on Ice team did the torch in SLC? That was radical. Remember when we all got free Big Macs because no one thought they would win so McDonalds made that the piece during their 84 Olympic promo? We were eating free Big Macs for MONTHS in my family. Serio. I remember my dad yelling at me because I didn't like Big Macs, but they were free, so I couldn't get a quarter pounder.
All in all, well played, Opening Ceremonies. Nice running with the torch in the sky, and thanks for no bizarre unitard dancing like in Athens. Can't wait to watch you again in Whistler, and then in London!
