Because that means that the Primary Program is over!
I wrote it. I taught the songs. I passed out the parts. I bought the rewards. I made the certificates. I rehearsed it with the kids for two weeks. I led the songs. And now it is done!! Hooray!
The kids were awesome. The majority of them memorized their parts (even the little ones!) and the older kids WROTE their parts. I was really impressed. And we encouraged them to invite their friends and families, and the church was packed!
Primary kids are awesome.
And I am thankful that it is all over.

When Good Song Ladies go Bad...
I have ALWAYS liked the older kids.
I really don't know what to do with babies, and don't feel really comfortable until they are at least four.
I have always wanted to be in with the teenagers at church.
And yet.
I WOULD RATHER PLUCK OUT MY EYEBALLS THAN BE WITH THE SENIOR PRIMARY ANY LONGER!!!
Junior Primary? No problem.
The older kids aren't even that bad. In fact, they are no different than always. Individually, I like them. Mostly. Kind of. In theory.
Maybe I have changed.
Maybe I have grown older and wiser?
Or crabbier and less patient?
Or less amused by "jokes" and "smartness" and "crap."
(Or, just maybe, it is because they come last. And I can see the clock taunting me and telling me it is almost time to go home?)
