Family Day 2009

Our little family

I seriously love this guy. Seriously.

You got to "PRIME the PUMP!"

Sweet tunnel slide.

The Pumpkin Catapult. Awesome.

ps: Click on the labels below for past celebrations
pps: I love adoption
ppps: I totally spent twenty minutes debating whether or not it was acceptable to bastardize the Dewey Decimal system in order to make the non-fiction call number (on my fictional card catalog card) reflect the date (a four-digit number before the decimal) when it SHOULD be a three-digit number reflecting the category of non-fiction where my fake book would be shelved (ie "how-to, adoption reference, family photography, etc.). I need a life.

Thanks, b. I always look to you as a good example of how I need to raise the Jooj!

And we changed it to "Family Day" because I realized that if we adopt more kids, it is going to get hard to have all sorts of special days, and if I miraculously get pregnant, then it kind of penalizes the new kids for coming out of my womb. So instead of it being "Adoption Day" it is just the day we celebrate being a family. Also, I know that some kids don't like to be reminded of being adopted. This way we can kind of leave the conversation up to the kids to discuss, instead of shoving it at them.

Family Day '09 and W. is here this year and not out earning more hero awards from Army, double bonus!!

All that aside, I'm so happy Jooj found her alternate route to your family and here's to more travelers in the future, via your uterus or a maybe some other form of transportation...??!!!

This analogy is going downhill rapidly.

I must end.

hugs and all that, happy jooj day!

KK, I know! This is the second of four celebrations we have done with him. I am glad he is here to be with us. Celebrating our family without him is crappy. I mean, we still do it, but I have to be nice and everything without him as a buffer.

I love your family day. You 3 are blessed to have each other.

And I wasn't going to say anything about the Dewey.

Yay for family day! You're such a good mom...you still take pictures. Me on the other hand? When I hear people whine that I don't update the blog enough, I retaliate with stories of diarrhea. And yes...it is a sad little club, but darn it I earned that membership. ; )

Happy FD jooj-a-roo!
