Have you seen the commercial for Dixie Paper Plate Products?
It starts with a sunshiney, beautiful mom saying something like "Because I have too much fun playing with my family," followed by another sunshiney mom saying something like "Because I don't want to spend another minute away from giving my children my undivided attention because I am a great mother", followed by a third sunshiney mom saying "Because I am not defined by the amount of dishes I do."
And it turns out that it is a commercial for paper plates.
I absolutely HATE this commercial. It makes me foam at the mouth. And I even USE paper plates. But I can't express WHY I hate it. Because I am too busy being angry about it (and, probably, by being defined by the amount of dishes I do.)
Can you help me understand why I hate it so much? In big-people words? Thanks. It would be a serio solid.

I think you hate it because, "I can't stand it when my kids go to bed and I miss their precious little faces every minute until morning". Or maybe because you miss Dixie Carter?
I DO miss Dixie Carter. Every minute of the day...
It sounds like they want you to think paper plates aren't used as a survival tool.
Just because I don't give my child my constant undivided attention, doesn't mean I'm not a great mother(wait too many negatives, I'm confused, did that come out right?). Hey sometimes I'm tired, and don't want to play. Am I a sucky mother? Wow, I'm starting to hate this commercial too and I haven't even seen it.
Because sometimes it's not about spending quality time for your children and is instead about saving your brain from exploding.
Or something.
I'm sorry, but I AM too busy with my children (where are they?) to respond (I MIGHT have seen my son before he left to play at a friends house) to your question (Piper smiled and waved at me once when I passed her on the way to the potty).
Wow, LRH, it sounds like you NEED paper plates. Because you are obviously too busy doing dishes to spend time with your kids.

I HATE HATE HATE with the strongest, all consuming passions, like a fire that burns brighter than the sun that commercial as well!!! I think it's because it's so obvious they are aren't really moms...outside in your Sunday dress letting your five kids tackle you to the ground...uh, grass stains, hello?? C'mon Dixie...no matter how many "moms" you get to sell it elegantly, at the end of the day you're still just a paper plate.
I guess I hate it because I always thought I WAS defined by the amount of dishes I do.
You hate it because those bastards are capitalizing on mom-guilt...with disposable plates, no less! (Ok, I just wanted to say bastards).
