Just say no. No to co-sleeping as it destroys your sanity! Hard to do though when the bed is so big and their bodies are so warm and cozy to snuggle with.
The other night I woke up because my comforter was gone. I tried and tried to yank it over my shoulder again but it was weighted down and wouldn't move. "Why...won't...this...thing...move?!" I was getting more angry. That's when I realized that the dead weight was El Guille, pinning the covers.
It's even more fun when it's a queen size and the kid, the baby, and the husband are in the bed with you. I may never get rid of this backache. I may never sleep again.
Sleeping with my kids is like sleeping in a tornado, they spin around and around. No thank you for co sleeping....
My 7 year old always comes in with us and after being kicked and kicked, she is back out again. I never had "warm snuggly" kids in bed. Just active, kicky ones....
What is it with kids wanting to shove their feet right in your "bum", I swear my Whitney puts her cold feet right up the back of my shirt then jams her foot right into my toosh.
That's when I figure the toddler bed/twin bed has got to be more comfortable and leave her in the king.
Sorry about the lack of sleep--the pics are very entertaining though. :)
My four year old likes to "squish". Unfortunately I'm too "squishy" to resist. I wake up to "skish, skish, skish". But that's better than when she climbs in, and wakes me up so I can scratch her back! (The nerve!!!)
Hey--that is a lot like my night with Thij (Ricky is at some stupid conference) except I kept getting kicked in the stomach and woke up this morning to him kicking me in the face. Maybe that is why I've had a headache all day long. Any advice for putting a stop to the co-sleeping?
Oooh, I forgot to add my sisters story of when they were in a hotel and she was sleeping with her 6 year old daughter and she flat out karate kicked her in the middle of the night! (hi-yah and everything!)

That is EXACTLY why we've never co-slept... I need my sleep. Make her sleep outside ;o)
heidi: "Mom, tia Jen looks spooky. I like it, Mom"
"Mom, you don't know how to spell spook, do you? You can't spell spook, Mom."

Wishing you well while your hubby is away.

Good illustrations though.
Really, the artwork is breathtaking.
Does co-sleeping include husbands, because that's how mine is sometimes. Last night I woke up with him in my armpit twice.

Nothin' like being T-boned in the middle of the night by a two-year-old.
Except maybe being T-boned in the middle of the night by an eight-year old. (Yeah, what can I say? I have sympathy for the occasional nightmare.)
haha.
I think you could take out the "Jooj" and insert and toddler's name and have an accurate artistic representation of what co-sleeping is like.
