"Saint Louis?" "No, Navin Johnson."

Two big milestones yesterday:

1. The Jooj learned to sign "more" while eating peas. Very fancy.

2. The Jooj discovered her Special Purpose.

I am glad we have not taught her that sign, yet, because I can't bare to think of my sweet baby girl signing "more bajingo, please."

You mean I'm going to stay this color?

I always intended to do the signing thing....and then I didn't. I think something good was on TV.

I am fluent in three signed languages and my kids don't know sign. :-) My nephew learned lots of signs from the CD's that they sell at Deseret Book (one of the D' Azavedo girls does it). He picked it up by himself. I have to say that it really helped when he was 18 months old and frustrated because he couldn't talk yet......Carina--there is still hope. Just let TV teach them!!!

I love those D'Azavedo girl dvd's!!!! (Signing Time!!) The only problem with those dvd's is that the darn tunes are so catchy!! The kids pick up the signs after watching the dvd or seeing someone do the sign once.... mostly the dvd's were for my benefit... ("Hold on a second honey.. Mommy doesn't know what your saying... let me put the video on so I can figure out what you're trying to tell me...") hehehehehe
P.S. The dvd's are much cheaper on Ebay.... Oh EBAY how I love thee.....

For one dollar, I'll guess your weight, your height, or your sex.

Carina, how can you not love the Lex? Why, EFY would be but a shadow without the Lex.

Bek--is there a sign for diaper?

Bek said...

There is, but usually you just tell the kids to pat their diaper. I can send you a link that shows the real sign.
:-)

ok, so I made a few comments earlier and they appear to be gone. So, uhm, Jen, if we're in a silent fued, sorry.

I am frightened of the Lex. There is a story behind this all too rational fear, but I am saving it for a really good blog.
