I am copying my favorite Nayvor, Jenny, and getting myself a blog. Hopefully it will help me organize my thoughts, update the peeps, and get things worked out. Somehow it seems easier to post things than actually talk about them. We'll see...
I am sitting in the kitchen surrounded by filth. Not clutter, filth. El Paso is flat and windy, and we have no sod, only sand. We also only have a swamp cooler which requires open windows. Hence the filth. There is a fine layer of sand on EVERYTHING. This would be ok--I can wear shoes on the tile, wipe things off, except that the wind also blows in pests. Ants, spiders, june bugs, moths, giant roaches, lizards, scorpions, and tarantulas. Yup, scorpions and tarantulas. The only thing that has saved us is our friend, Peabo--this quasi prarie dog-lemur that has moved into the garage and is eating all of our food storage. He is also eating the smaller pests, leaving us to attack the bigger ones with sauce pans. Waldo says that he is a "varmint" and will also eat the insulation and the baby, but I like him better than the tarantulas, so he is staying so far. Maybe Gigi will grow up to be a zoologist. Or get rabies.

speaking of rabies, did you know that the little boy in "Cujo" was Danny Pintauro, of Who's The Boss? fame? Thank you, VH1.
Yeah, I've had it with bugs, too. The next time I take a trip where I have to worry about bugs in every room and buy water to drink and cook with, I'm going to Mexico, not Busti.
